Brinson Enterprises provides reliability analysis for BC Hydro's Generation Engineering Maintenance Department. This involves assessing the integrity of mechanical equipment located at power plants throughout the province and developing procedures to improve the reliability of power generation stations.
UBC Stirling Engine Project
Charlie Brinson designed a small, single cylinder Stirling engine to generate approximately 400 watts of power from the heat of biomass combustion. The engine is constructed from readily-available, low-cost materials and is intended to be used in conjunction with existing wood stove units that are commonly found in the British Columbia region and are used for heating.
